Cultural flows between South Asia and Europe

The thematic portal which is part of the Cluster of Excellence “Asia and Europe in a Global Context: Shifting Asymmetries in Cultural Flows” will present concepts of cultural flows on the basis of different digital resources, e.g. the presentation of nation(-state) in the context of anthropomorphic figures (allegories) and their national heroes (Mahatma Gandhi or Subhas Chandra Bose). Here the previously underrepresented area of popular culture will gain an important forum.
